Camera Crews

As I said in yesterday's post, I arrived at the Ronald Reagan Building at about the same time as the reporters and camera crews from various media outlets were arriving and setting up their equipment. The fellow shown here in the coat and tie was kind of like a one-man band in that he was shooting video and interviewing protestors. Others were there solely to shoot video.

  4. Wee. Is it safe to go so near?
Here you´re not allowed to take weapons to such "events", but in America I could imagine it is...

    1. Good question, Iris, and I don't really know the answer since I'm not really a gun toting kind of guy.

I do know, though, that D.C. gun laws are among the most restrictive in the nation and that, as a result, they've been contested several times over the past few years.

Having said that, I always operate under the assumption that, since this is the U.S., someone somewhere has got a gun and probably feels like it's his or her God-given right to carry one and to use it however her or she "damn pleases". :-)

  5. It's going to be a long four years- or however long it takes until the oaf realizes he's way over his head.

  8. He is definitely too dressed up to just be shooting video. At least he's wearing a blue tie and not a red one!
