The Wrap

Linda Sarsour (below) is a Palestinian-American activist and executive director of the Arab American Association of New York. She was one of the speakers at the Women's March.

Well, that's a wrap--a truly historic event. Did it change anything? Obviously not. Trump's still president and he appears to be pressing ahead with his agenda regardless. But I do think it conveyed the unmistakable message that his opposition has not fallen asleep. The proof of the March's effectiveness, as the March's leaders said, will be how it did or did not motivate people to become more politically engaged.

  2. I agree with Andy, very well documented with great photos. We watch from far with anxiety what is going on in your country and hope someone can stop this mania of one man.

  7. I agree with Grace. Sad thing is he does not see it that way. I have a colleague like that, too. Those narcissistic people really do.not.see.it. They thing they are wonderful and right, too.
He´s still big in our German news with all the dumb things he does, like hanging up on Putin not knowing what it´s really all about, asking people to buy his daughter´s stuff etc etc, it´s a shame.
We have to wish he succeeds, but that is a hard job to do.

Reminds me of The Simpsons were Ralph Wiggum runs for president - though... he would do a better job still :-(

  10. Excellent coverage, RR! Trump is not a happy man and that is good. Lots of people have now been awakened and that's good too.

  11. If this was a movie or a novel, nobody would believe such events could happen.
