Beaver Scouts

This sign caught me by surprise. I hadn't heard of Beaver Scouts before.

"Beaver Scouts (commonly known as Beavers) are the youngest age group in Scouting Ireland and are boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years of age" (Wikipedia).

  1. I remember they were called gnomes here. But I don't know they still use that name.

  4. Cute. The former GDR had something similar. Not on offer but as must (I think).
Us "Wessies" had/have nothing like it, as far as I know.

  6. Beaver Scouts is popular. Our boys were all Beaver Scouts before they went onto becoming Cub Scouts and then Scouts!
