Extreme Cold

I imagine this is a quite a different scene today. With the unusually cold temperatures we've been experiencing these past few days, this off-shoot of the Potomac is probably now has much more ice. People are actually skating and playing hockey on the C&O Canal. Even more bitter cold is expected beginning tonight.

  1. Would be great to see it frozen but don't get frozen yourself.

  4. This is such a lovely shot. I'm guessing the scene would look good even if blessed with ice. It's going to rain here, all day. And it's cold - for us. I'd sue, but I don't know who to sue. Really, Florida is not supposed to be this cold!

  6. Very cold here too, it seems to be all over northern N America right now. Thank goodness for longjohns and woolly socks.

  8. I've heard it's doing the same around Niagara Falls. Our cold has moderated a bit, or maybe I'm just used to it at this point. I saw a note today that on the 27th of December, our temperatures were at minus 27 Fahrenheit.
